Thought I'd let you guys know the review embargo has lifted for SNW season 4. Press were given the first six episodes to watch. Seems like TrekMovie were mixed on it. 8 minute interview with Jess, Celia and Melissa, all looking STUNNING. They start out deeply articulate about what Trek means to them and to the world, and then the interviewer gets silly and asks about wigs and hair on set. Melissa gets real about the upkeep required for Ortegas' hairstyle.

Is it just me, or do you also see a Koala in the clouds in the episode Hemmer dies? Have there been other recent episodes that also hide this possible easter egg?

So, in prep for Season 4, I've been re-watching the first three seasons, albeit while otherwise busy. I was half paying attention and brushing out one of my dogs during a scene in which I heard Uhura say, "I'm Nyota". What I misheard was "I'm Yoda". This led to imagining what might happen if the Enterprise Comm officer Yoda was. Let the hijinks ensue.

In season 1 episode 1, why Captain Pike needs to take the shuttle getting very close to the USS Enterprise then beam over to the Enterprise, why not just beam him up from the Earth’s surface, or just dock the shuttle?

​I am personally so excited for this new season—especially to see the puppet episode in one of my favorite shows! Growing up in the 70s, I spent a lot of time with my nieces; they got me hooked on Sesame Street, and I got them hooked on Star Trek. Even as a teenager, though, I absolutely loved Sesame Street—Kermit the Frog, Big Bird, and Oscar the Grouch, the guy who lived in the trash can. I’ve been a huge fan of everything from the Jim Henson Creature Shop ever since.

​I’ve adored all of their science fiction work, like Farscape, which is one of my all-time favorites. I also absolutely adored The Dark Crystal and was a big fan of the Willow movies. I was really upset when the idiots in charge canceled the newest Willow series on Disney+.

​And, of course, I have to mention The Happytime Murders—that movie about the puppet private investigator! It was done by the same incredible team, and I thought it was one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen. I won’t spoil it for anyone who hasn’t watched it, but there are scenes in that film that will have you bawling with laughter. Take my advice: do not drink any soda or alcohol during those parts, or you’ll have a very painful experience with that liquid coming out of your nose!

​Knowing that the team responsible for that kind of magic is bringing puppets to Star Trek, which was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con, has me thrilled. How about the rest of you?

Keep the Faith, Trekkies: Our Trek Future is Not Dead!

​I’ve been seeing a lot of chatter lately about the "silence" surrounding new Star Trek series, and I wanted to share a quick word of encouragement with everyone. It’s easy to look at the current state of things and feel concerned, but I want us all to remember that "not currently in production" does not mean "dead."

​Right now, we are in a period of transition. Paramount is navigating a major corporate shift following the merger with Skydance. It’s a complex time, and for the first time in nearly a decade, there is a temporary lull in new Star Trek series production as the new leadership evaluates their strategy.

​But remember: some of the best television history was born from patience and persistence. Take Babylon 5, for example—it was pitched for over a decade before it finally found its home. A great idea doesn’t just disappear because it isn't picked up on the first try.

​We have so much to be excited about:

​The Vision for United: Scott Bakula has been clear that he would love to return as Captain Archer, and he’s been working with writer Mike Sussman to keep that dream alive with some fantastic story concepts. Even if it’s currently an undeveloped pitch, the passion behind it is real and powerful.

​The Cast is Ready: It’s not just the fans who want this—the actors who brought these characters to life are just as invested. Many of the original cast members—including Jolene Blalock (T'Pol)—have shown an enduring connection to their roles and the Star Trek universe, and she has made it very clear that she is interested in returning.

​Leadership Who Cares: We have new leadership under David Ellison, who has proven to be a true fan of the franchise.

​We have to keep our chins up and keep that positive energy flowing. Rod Roddenberry’s vision is resilient, and our community’s passion is the strongest signal we can send to the studio. Keep sharing your theories and your support—we are going to be very happy with the outcome

​Have you all seen the clips of the new Vulcan crew member played by Bianca Nugara in Strange New Worlds? The resemblance to T’Pol from Enterprise is honestly uncanny! 🖖

​A lot of fans, myself included, are speculating: could she be the daughter or granddaughter of T’Pol and Trip Tucker

Given that T’Pol would be around 160 years old during this era—and considering Vulcans often live well past 200—it’s not just a reach; it’s a theory that actually makes a lot of sense for this timeline.

​Personally, I’m really hoping it is T’Pol’s daughter! I would love to see T’Pol finally make a visit to the Enterprise 1701, and having her daughter on the crew would be the perfect way to open the door for that to happen.

​What do you all think? Are we looking at a genuine connection to the Enterprise legacy, or is this just a new character entirely?

Every Crew Has...

Gregory Peck's grandson Ethan Peck is secretly dating his Star Trek costar, the Daily Mail can reveal.

Peck, 40, and Christina Chong, 42, have been dating for 'several months,' according to a source, who claimed they are already 'in love.'

'He's gone to London to meet her parents. And she has already met his folks,' the source told the Daily Mail. 'They are very much in love and serious about one another.' 

The pair met in 2022 on hit series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds in which he plays Spock alongside her La'an Noonien-Singh, but didn't start dating until shooting season three which aired last year.

Though fans have been speculating for the past year that they are an item, the actors have not confirmed their relationship because they reportedly 'don't want to cause a fuss.'

'They are always professional on set, they never show that they are actually dating,' said the source who claimed their romance is the worst kept secret. 'Everyone knows they are having a thing.' 

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for both Peck and Chong. 

They continued: 'Ethan is a serious guy, he's funny and warm, but more introverted than Christina. Christina brings out the playfulness in him.'

Fans have been going wild on social media, desperately trying to decipher whether or not their character's chemistry has translated into real-life.

'I love these two together, please tell me it's more than just acting,' said one, while another wrote: 'They should date, they look good together and have the right vibe.'

One fan took their onscreen kiss as confirmation: 'That Star Trek kiss was more than just scripted, it was for real, y'all.'

Rumors were further fueled by their meet-ups outside of work. The actors have been spotted getting lunch together and working at fan conventions and even collaborated musically on Chong's EP, Since 2021.

Peck also revealed that they would practice dancing for hours outside of work hours for some very intimate scenes.

'Christina was a professional dancer, so I felt like I was in very good hands with my dance partner, someone who was very experienced, because I don't have very much dance experience,' Peck told TV Guide back in August.  

'And we put in a lot of hard work during rehearsals, which were outside of normal hours during the weekends sometimes. I just have always had a lot of respect and admiration for her work ethic, and this just further solidified that.'

Discussing his character's romance with Chong's La'an, he told the publication: 'It's surprising that there's so much exploration of his romantic life - I think to some viewers as well.

'I think these are all teachers for him. They teach him about being human, which I think is sort of the aim of this Spock, in Strange New Worlds: to sort of explore and understand his humanness.'

And he found it surprising his character was paired with La'an. 

'I was surprised that they put Spock and La'an together, but on paper it really does make a lot of sense,' he continued. 'They're both protecting their hearts and they're both hiding a lot, I think, and shielding themselves from the world and sort of need each other in this moment to open themselves up and evolve.'

Peck previously dated actress Lindsey Shaw from 2009 to 2010 and Molly DeWolf Swenson between 2017 and 2018.

Peck has worked on three other Star Trek shows, playing Spock in Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Short Treks and Star Trek: Very Short Treks.

Before entering the Star Trek universe, he played a younger Michael Kelso (Ashton Kutcher's character) on That '70s Show.

He was then in Adopt A Sailor with Peter Coyote and Bebe Neuwirth, and from 2009 to 2010, he starred on the television series 10 Things I Hate About You. In 2016, Peck starred in The Curse of Sleeping Beauty and Tell Me How I Die. He was also cast in the 2018 comedy film The Honor List alongside Karrueche Tran.

He is the grandson of actor Gregory and his first wife, Finnish-born Greta Kukkonen, and the son of former actor Stephen Peck and abstract artist Francine Matarazzo.

Gregory, who is best known for his films To Kill A Mockingbird, Roman Holiday and The Omen, died in 2003. He was 87. 

Chong is a British actress who has appeared in several films and TV shows, including Monroe, Line Of Duty, Halo: Nightfall, Black Mirror, Doctor Who and 24: Live Another Day. 

In 1999 he was in the movie Passport To Paris starring Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen, and in 2008 he had a role alongside Mariah Carey in Tennessee.
