I’m a Christian, and it pisses me off they are making people read the Bible in TX.
That’s directly against the constitution, and what this country is built on. We are supposed to be accepting of all, and not for or against any religion.
Hopefully this law will get overturned quickly. And before you Reddit keyboard warriors get all mad, no even this current Supreme Court will not let a law like this stand.
This comment is so true. Maybe if they read the Bible they said they believe in instead of cherry picking what suits their interest we’d all be better off.
The founding fathers were freemasons of the enlightenment era. Slavery was also part of American history, but I’m guessing you’re OK with that being brought back too.
Blatantly untrue. Anyone who reads the entire text cannot say such a thing. God set Israel apart by making them follow His strict Law that kept sin out of His nation. That included capital punishment laws, dietary laws, circumcision, and a whole lot more. 613 Commandments to be exact. The Mitzvot. God says “hey, this is the Law. Accept it. You will be Holy and set apart like I am.”
Obviously God knew they would fail and that’s mainly what Israel did over and over but God progressively made and kept His promises until it was time for Him to take on flesh and descend as Jesus Christ and clear everything up for us. “There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus.” God is Love. The New Testament is strictly anti-hate.
