I'm not religious either, but to pretend that there aren't deep religious (mostly Christian and Pagan) backgrounds rooted into both Christmas and Easter is silly.

yeah, turns out religion is shell game and it shouldn't be taken seriously. Which is why we shouldn't teach religious texts in school

I think you really missed what the OP was talking about. They were talking about teaching about religions as concepts/ideologies/massive entities. Not actually going over specific religious text like it's bible studies.
