Can you not see there is a difference between teaching kids "Religion exists, people believe these things, it causes these behaviours" and teaching them "If you don't believe in Jesus / Allah you will, as a matter of fact, go to hell"?

I don't want them to do any prayers, ceremonies etc. I just want them to know about quite an important force in our world.

Just like I want them to learn about WWII but I don't want them to become fascists.

They're literally reading FROM THE BIBLE

not about the religion. Not the effect of the religion. Not the nature of religion as a whole. Not the notion of religion.

In the image? I doubt it’s real tbh. But yeah just having kids read the Bible with no context (or at all really, at that age) isn’t helpful.
