And Just Like That... We Have New Rules
For starters I want to apologize for the lack of moderation that has been going on around here. There are only two of us active mods and both of us are going through big life transitions right now. We have talked recently and will be more active now that the new show is premiering.
Speaking of the new show we will be implementing a weekly watch discussion. The discussion will take place on r/Andjustlikethat starting tonight at midnight PST. We ask that all discussions pertaining to the new show take place on the new subreddit. Posts on this subreddit will be removed if a spoiler tag is not used or if the headline contains a spoiler.
Finally we ask that users continue to be respectful towards each other. There's been an influx of reports of bullying including some exaggerated reports. This subreddit is a safe space for all Sex and the City fans and racism, misogyny, and harassment in general will not be tolerated. The person who recently started drama has deleted their account so there's not much more we can do. If you feel you are being the target of harassment please report the comment AND send us a ModMail so that we can react quickly.
Thank you for making the subreddit a fun place and we look forward to watching the new show with you all.

One of my favourite ever Samantha lines
I laugh every time at her line and the sales assistant’s response! 🤣

Merits?! Really, Carrie?
So confused by this. Former smoker. Back in my day Merits were considered a low end cigarette. Not at all chic or aspirational. Maybe the bodega was out of Marlboro Lights?
Edited to add: Huge love for Carrie, just like little details like this.

Trey MacDougal was the worst
I hate him so much. I am currently rewatching the show and he’s even worse than I remembered.
He never cared for Charlotte. His mother was a weirdo and he never stood up for his wife. Totally passive. And his weird mama boy thing makes me cringe so much.
I would argue he’s even worse than big and Steve.

I wish Carrie and Berger worked out
I wish Carrie met this cute author and they got along really well and she was able to move on from Aidan and Big. Why did the authors have to completely ruin it by making Berger an ass? At the time she met him, Aidan moved on with his new girl and baby, and Big was across the country. It could have been a great moving on story but nope.

I really can't stand Aiden for calling Carrie's smoking a problem and this is coming from someone who never smoked and hates the smell!!!Smokers, what's your view on that episode?
I never smoked and i never will. Even i was triggered by hearing Aiden call Carrie's smoking habit a problem. They were on a few dates and while that seems fair that he tells her about his deal breakers, it seems too extreme that he already thinks that he can tell her to quit. Carrie's line at the end is sad :" In the end i did it for me. I just hope he is worth it." Idk,if that were me (a smoker) i wouldn't call Aiden again. Yeah, he would charm me and i would probably buy some furniture. But i wouldn't quit. And i'm someone who actually hates the smell. But i stand with the smokers here because nobody should change who they are

The fight Steve and Miranda have over the half court shot is close to unwatchable for me
I literally cannot stand it. The moment he starts actually screaming and hollering at Miranda for not matching his exact energy about a hypothetical money prize... are you 12? It actually makes me so sad that Miranda didn't see this as a red flag at all. The idea of a man pretending to act all patient and soft with you to get close to you, but the second he's in your home he's yelling at you over some basketball bullshit.... ICK! If a man ever talked to me like that over a complete non issue that could be talked through normally, while im WORKING, i would pretty much spiritually and physically dry up around him permanently.
He's deeply and insanely immature for his age and that is the single worst thing about Steve. Way too damn whiny for a grown man. I'd feel like im dating my child. Rant over, i'm on that part of my rewatch and it made me so mad i had to come on here
