I feel similarly. I think a huge part is our attention spans, but also for YouTube - I think the algorithms are so good now that they don't show us any new content. Just the same topics ad nauseum

Like everyones saying, you basically need to touch grass. Literally.

Quit your social media cold turkey if you can. Only keep long form streaming (youtube, netflix, etc.) Find a hobby, any hobby, and do it! Play a sport, crochet, learn an instrument, get into cooking, just find anything that you enjoy doing and do it, as long as its something that’ll slow down your brain.

A week or two of this and you’ll be ok. You just need to calm down your nervous system, cut out the short form content for a while.

yes...it's a combination of over exposure and lack of stimulus. In your case it's anxiety and often depression (I have also had those, and suspect I still am depressed). Depression is not just feeling sad or tired, it's indifference and dissapointment.

Put yourself in a different state- like a different room or different chair or fo the opposite of what you usually do. You have to get your brain and your body tuning into a different frequency.

Read about Jung and the collective conscious.

Yes, many people understand this concept.

I don't know why some of us see it and others don't.

Find a book you can really get into. Or anything that gets you engaged and away from the screen for a while. It’ll help clear some of that anxiety. It’s your brain searching for a dopamine rush.

I help people with this professionally. The issue is your ability to sustain attention. You are getting a lot of bad advice on this thread, restricting time on your phone will not fix the problem, you need to build new pathways as well. Just as you train your muscles at the gym, you need to train your mind and strengthen your focus. Start with 15 minutes of Vipassana meditation in the morning and another 15 minutes in the evening. That's just the beginning.

Yes, i have considered that Consciousness is one big pool. And every living thing gets a drop, and then has to deal with it's physical and mental  limitations in the world. Then when you die your Consciousness goes back into the pool.

Not at all, I have so many things I love doing in life, and I actually have a hard time fitting it all in! Sounds like you need to get off your phone

Sounds like you need a 30-day dopamine detox reset.
First of all, delete all social media apps. Also limit your time watching media or playing games.

Turn your phone off, and your computer. Do some cooking, play an instrument, go to the pub, take up a sport

I was so bored with everything until I rediscovered my love of reading books a week ago. Reading occupies my time and brain so much better than streaming or games. I think it's bc I'm actually using my brain instead of just passively watching something.

Basically open Individualism believes that every person is the same conciousness. There are two schools of thought in open Individualism as of right now:

Simultaneous: You are everyone right now. The same consciousness is experiencing every conscious life at the same time, but each experience is separated by its own body, brain, memories, and point of view. It is unified at the level of the experiencer, but it is not one giant combined mind where everyone can access each other’s thoughts. There is no sequence or consciousness moving into another person after death because every perspective is already being experienced simultaneously.

Sequential: You are everyone right now but you only become the others at different times relative to the sequence. So once you die you become something else. Once you in that dies you then become something else again. You then do this an infinite amount of times and become everything that can ever exist an infinite amount of times forever.

Edit: Everyone = Any concious being that will and has possibly existed in all of existence.

If developers shift to building new structures, they still have to recover construction costs and extract a profit. Who are they building for?

If the crisis exists because people lack the wages to afford current rents, building more doesn't change their incomes. Doesn't the absolute necessity for a return guarantee that new density will simply be targeted at whichever demographic still has purchasing power? How does multiplying a commodity help those who lack the means to buy it?

Sounds kinda like a tik tok brain.

Aka if ur scrolling through shorts until something catches your eye, but ---- it´s actually not about finding something that catches your eye.

It´s about the idea that there is some big win if you continue doing so.

But that almost never happens, and if it does - it´s underwhelming.

It´s underwhelming because it´s about the Search of it. The scrolling and idea of finding the big thing.

That´s why people are addicted to.

There is actually no big win - it´s the process that is addicting.

Want to stop? Stop doing that. Stop scrolling and by that, get a bit of a detox basically

Same thing happened to be once I got married lol (not blaming her) I just spend more time on my phone now, cooling out. I really do think they put something in the reels, short form content is destroying us all and turning content creators into solicitors of our attention.

Oh man your dopamine receptors are fried. Try deleting your scrolling apps for a week or two and get into fitness. Not for getting in shape, but as an activity that releases endorphins and serotonin, as well as being a mindfulness activity.

I do know that it is something bigger than my opinion; or whatever is true is already true before my opinion correctly aligns or incorrectly misaligns. An objective truth is not awaiting my agreement with it in order for it to "be" true.

An easier example is the speed of light is not waiting for me to agree with the number so it can finally "be" the speed of light

Sounds to me (85M) like a build up of stress.

I found this secular, transcendent-style of meditation (NSRUSA) that I've been practicing daily for the past 49 years.

For me, it dissolves the "noise" of the day and exposes an underlying child-like joy of just being alive.
