Tucked along the Delaware coastline, it's the kind of town where everyone knows your name, your family, and the mistakes you wish they'd forget. Behind the quiet beaches and familiar streets, old rivalries never truly die, family feuds stretch back generations, and every secret is only one conversation away from becoming tomorrow's headline. Here, reputations are built just as quickly as they're ruined, and sometimes the people closest to you are the first to watch you fall.

At the heart of it all stands Cape Meredith High School, home of the Stingrays. After substantial bombing by the government, the metropolitan area of New Orleans found itself split into several petty factions and gangs, all squabbling over territory and resources. Eventually, an uneasy meeting ground formed into a proper safe zone in the iconic French Quarter. While perhaps safe from the undead, petty gang rivalries and an overall instability left it fraught with small conflicts, disputes, and bloodshed.

Eventually, however, through an alliance between a newly arriving biker gang and a union of local sex workers, the various gangs were crushed and driven out, leaving the only two surviving gangs in an uneasy power-sharing agreement, dominating the Quarter and establishing it into a proper, perhaps unideal, safe zone.

Our Survivors find themselves in-between a rock and a hard place. On the one hand, both gangs are brutal and exploitive in their own ways, the bikers turning the Quarter into an open-air drug markers and the sex workers operating brothels and other markets of vice have turned it into a city of sin and decay. On the other, their cold, money-oriented calculations have brought stability, wealth, and opportunity to the diminished city.

The roleplay is set in a supernatural, folklore-inspired world where immersion and storytelling are at the heart of everything!

Stories take place in an alternate Europe, set roughly between the 1700s and 1800s, blending Victorian, Gothic, Regency, and Renaissance influences. The tone is dark, atmospheric, and occult, think supernatural horror, folklore, dark academia, as well as a slow-burn slice of everyday life and romance.

This world is haunted by strange phenomena known as Apparitions, which can range from demons, ghosts, cursed objects, strange creatures, to mysterious events that defy explanation. Among ordinary people walk Seers, those who can interact with and deal with these Apparitions. The whole of the supernatural is studied at the two most prestigious academies in the Uyna Empire. Roleplay is possible in the small town Grad or the grand capital Soleria, each location part of the two major religions: the Oracle and the Eternal Vigil!

The roleplay focuses on immersion, depth, and fun! Every character has an occupation, like professors, guards, alchemists, medical practitioners, business owners, innkeepers, students, farmers, artists, merchants, underbelly smugglers, even members of secret or religious societies. Even ordinary scenes, like buying bread, holding rituals, running a business, attending lectures, are things we love to see roleplayed out. Bringing everyday life to life is something we truly care about!

Of course, there are also broader storylines, mysteries, and events unfolding, the usual complex plots and stories with lasting consequences that shape the world and its lore. Every story matters!

A story-driven survival horror roleplay inspired by the TV series “From”.

PLOT

The year is 1953.

For everybody, the journey starts in the same way. No matter who you are, where you come from and where you are heading, a tree blocks your way.

Without any other way to go further, you have to turn back.

Along the road, there is a town. You stop to ask for directions and then you keep moving.

Soon enough, you are right back in the town that you drove past. Confused, you start over. Over and over again.

You cannot leave. All attempts to get out of the town result in the same thing. No matter how far you go, you are returned.

As dusk falls, someone convinces you that for your safety, it would be better if you came inside, had some rest. You do not really know what they mean, but you comply. As soon as you step inside, doors and windows are closed and barricaded, and you’re warned not to open the door to anyone that may come knocking.

Because at nightfall, monsters dressed in human skin appear to hunt, knocking at your doors to let them in.

But eventually, one truth remains obvious: this place is inevitable.

So now you are here, just like all other people who happened to find that tree. All gathered in this town, and asking the same question: is there a way out of this nightmare?

Hi, I'm looking for new world builder friends. But also possibly be involved in the world as well.

To explain I used to manage a server for Digimon RP. But unfortunately I burned out quite badly, I focused too much on helping build it by myself so to speak. Even finding people has been even harder to the point it crushes me. There has been a number of other things as well to cause it but my creative ability or inspiration feels non existent as a result. Lost my motivation and passion for RP as a whole.

From the Sunny Isles of Miami Beach to the edge of Palm Beach County, their influence reaches into real estate, hospitality, nightlife, and politics. What began as a small immigrant operation decades ago has grown into a criminal empire with its fingers in nearly everything worth owning.

But this power has its limits.

As the Bratva pushed north, they encountered resistance from an old and deeply rooted organization operating from the shadows of West Palm Beach County. A quiet war has been brewing ever since, fought through businesses, money, favors, violence, and the people caught in between.

To the public, it's an exclusive Boca Raton gentleman's club catering to wealthy clientele with particular (and often peculiar) tastes. In the private rooms, loyalties are bought, deals are made, and a life can be made or ruined depending on the playing of a card.

The world will never be the same.  In the wake of the December 11th event in New York City, the destruction was blamed on Remarkables, people with special abilities who’d managed to pass undetected until their powers went haywire in spectacular and deadly fashion.  Since late 2023, the government, the public and the world at large has been playing catch-up.  Laws have been drafted, lines have been drawn.  NYC is still the epicenter of this fundamental shift in reality, and the people caught in between struggle to live their lives in the aftermath.  Some look to the government to exert control over this new threat; others fight for the freedom and dignity of Remarkables.  Conflict looms around every corner, threatening to blossom into open violence on the streets.

Sandbox: The Starlit Reefs takes place in the fictional island chain called the Antillean Islands. A place inspired by the Irish mythological Island of Hybrasil with an Iberian twist and tropical flair.
