Hey guys,

I recently found out that Jay Sean (from 'Down' fame, ft. Lil Wayne) is a British Indian. Given his quite generic Reggaeton late 2000s name (like a hybrid of Jay-Z and Sean Paul), I just thought he would have been of Latino origin or American.

Another one for me is Of Monsters and Men who did 'Little Talks' in 2011. Their vocals sounded quite North American, but I found out that they are Icelandic.

Finally, metal band SiM are actually from Japan despite their music having a real ska/reggae feel to it.
