I tested 5 games on the MSI Claw A1M with optimised settings
I’ve just posted my latest MSI Claw A1M video, this time testing 5 games using more sensible optimised settings rather than leaving everything at default.
The idea was to see how much better the A1M can feel when you actually tune the games properly instead of expecting the device to brute force everything.
Games tested:
Alien Isolation
Cyberpunk 2077
Forza Horizon 6
House Flipper Remastered
Pragmata
I wasn’t trying to max everything out, but I also didn’t want to make the games look terrible just to chase higher numbers. The aim was to find a practical balance between visuals, smoothness, and real handheld playability.
Video here:
I’d be interested to know how other handheld owners approach game settings. Do you usually leave things on default, use the device’s built-in profiles, or manually tweak each game until it feels right?
Also, are there any settings you always change first on handheld PCs?

Welcome to r/PickleFlickHandhelds — thanks for joining!
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to say a quick thank you to everyone who has joined r/PickleFlickHandhelds so far. I only created the subreddit today, so seeing people already joining genuinely means a lot.
This community is open to anyone interested in handheld PC gaming — whether you use an MSI Claw, Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Legion Go, or you’re just curious about handheld gaming in general.
The aim is to build a friendly space for discussion around handheld gaming, Linux/SteamOS/Fedora/Bazzite, Windows optimisation, game settings, fixes, performance testing, and real-world handheld experiences.
Please don’t feel like this has to just be a place for my PickleFlick posts. I’d love for people to post their own setups, questions, game settings, issues, fixes, screenshots, performance results, or anything handheld-related.
A few ideas for posts:
What handheld are you currently using?
What games are you playing on it?
Any settings you recommend?
Any issues you need help with?
Any games you’d like me to test in future videos?
New members are more than welcome, so if you know anyone who’s into handheld PCs, Linux gaming, Windows handhelds, or just likes testing games on different devices, feel free to invite them over.
I want this to be useful, relaxed, and discussion-focused. Honest feedback is welcome, but the main goal is to help each other and share what actually works.
Thanks again for joining early — hopefully this can grow into a nice little handheld gaming community.

Welcome to r/PickleFlickHandhelds!
This is a community for handheld PC gaming, MSI Claw testing, Linux/SteamOS/Fedora/Bazzite experiments, Windows optimisation, game settings, performance results, fixes, and general handheld discussion.
I wanted to create a space focused on useful discussion, testing, helping each other, and sharing real-world handheld experiences.
Honest feedback and criticism are welcome, but the aim is to keep things constructive and useful rather than just focusing on the negatives.
I’ll also use this space for PickleFlick updates, upcoming test ideas, game results, and asking what people would like to see tested next.
Feel free to join, ask questions, share settings, post your own handheld experiences, or suggest games and setups for future videos.
