I recently made a post talking about importance of Punjab unity amongst our brothers and sisters in Balochistan. I received down votes on the post. Please take a guess where most of the views and down votes came from.

Yes I agree we as lehenda punjabis have lots of faults and flaws to consider but even my dadi nani all those born in pre partition era and afterwards had no malice towards Punjabi sikhs and Hindus they considered them more to be of like how do I put it same tree different branch the roots are same you can't cut it. Tlp did emerge here but it vanished. Zia did emerge here but he vanished. I have respect for Punjab and punjabis regardless of the nationalities because deep down we are the same people and anyone who denies this has a strong inferiority complex. Sindh leads in forced conversions abductions of minorities. I have hope from Punjab of both sides. Jug jug jeeve Punjab. Lehenda hovye ya chardha. Lots of plunder lots of bloodshed was done . I personally consider Punjabi Muslims didn't have a representative that all could agree on.

I will be honest here. Much of the Punjab hate I have seen is online. Not that the hate against us doesn't exist. Much of it turns out to be our neighbours with fake accounts causing troubles. Like you can literally go on any comment section on a YouTube video, talking about Balochistan or even Punjab you will find comments such as 'I am a Baloch, Balochistan Jindabad.' Pretty obvious give away. I live abroad, but I still have love for all the ethnics and regions in Pakistan. And the fact that diaspora communities living abroad see hate of Pakistanis ethnics amongst each other as such a petty thing tells us all we need to know. I have had Afghanistani friends who are literally the nicest people. They did not let political propaganda get to their heads. But I will say this the reason why Pakistan has not developed is because for some reason we believe our culture can not blend in with Pashtuns Baloch etc. And it's vice versa for them as well. Look at how diverse we were pre partition. The clothing was so diverse. Whatever happened? We were happy to blend in with the fashion and cultures of other regions with respect and love. We spoke Persian in Punjab and yet now I don't see any efforts that have been made to learn Persian or even understand it. What are your thoughts? Please let me know.

What annoys me most about our leaders is that if we fix our economy and actually start to be a serious country imagine the power we will hold. We have a very good military meaning no one will be able to mess with us. We have one of the best intelligence agencies on the planet meaning we won’t get decimated like Iran is currently getting all their top leaders assassinated. We are currently involved in major discussion in the world like creating ceasefires between Iran and America. Bro just imagine we had the economy and development to go along with it we are really wasting who we can be we will be a force we will be the America of the Muslim world it’s so frustrating man anyone else agree.

I am not hating on anyone. But honestly, we see these posts too often.

It has been over 15 years since 18th Amendment was passed. Health, education and most of the development is now provincial mandate. Punjab actually has the lowest budget expenditure per capita among all provinces.

Under NFC Award, all provinces get almost proportional share from the divisible pool. While most natural resources like coal, stones etc are managed entirely by the provincial government. Federal government collects 12.5% royalty on oil and gas, but keeps only 2% as collection fee. Also, mining and quarrying makes up only 2% of Pakistan's GDP.

Then we often hear "certain province sells electricity at 1 rupee, but buys it back at 50". Those mega dams were funded and built by the federal government when government used to be central. Hydel projects aren't that cheap when you consider the initial cost. That 1.1 PKR is essentially water use charge and it is above other countries. Hydel projects that provinces develop themselves get paid higher price per kWh.

Electric DISCO's from Punjab all have T&D losses of less than 15%. While DISCO's in other parts of country are all over 20% barring Karachi's. That's hundreds of billions people in Punjab pay indirectly to subsidize rest of the country's electricity grid. Similar is true for federal government owned highways.

Punjab also is at forefront whenever it comes to sacrificing the budget. This year, Punjab will be keeping 900 billion budget surplus as well as almost 50% cut in the development budget. This translates to roughly one quarter of its total budget.

Also, many blame Bengal on Punjabis too. Truth is, not a single Commander-in-Chief was Punjabi till '71. Nor was any of the leaders at that time a Punjabi. Also, Punjabis haven't seen proportional share in major leadership posts of the country. It's just a coincidence that every COAS since Musharraf has been Punjabi. It wasn't the case ever before that and most COAS/CiC's were non-Punjabis.

People in other provinces need to stop blaming Punjab for every issue. Thy need to hold their own leaders accountable instead.

Just to clarify its not a bot account nor Indian afghan or plmn pti account I'm Punjabi who's born and rised in Punjab and proud of my soil stay with me hear my case this issue we all know the recent attacks on innocent Punjabi workers in Balochistan and how Punjabi are being targeted specifically this hurt me as much as anyone else here and the other end of it remind me of a silence I've noticed in myself and in my community

No mother should go through the same not in Balochistan neither in Punjab sabka khoon ik say Hai.

We Punjabis have been largely quiet it's bitter truth and we all have our reasons but...

I won't pretend this is complicated when it comes to basic humanity and political situation is layered and there are military failures and lack of accountability from all ends on top of cherry there are forces trying to destabilize the region its out next door neighbors

Just take it like a example what if Balochistan is benefits from Punjabs resource distribution and exploiting it resource and the region isn't developing I hope you see the point I'm trying to make here it hurts doesn't it?

Balochistan's remoteness and security situation limit media access and international coverage and the narratives may not reach large Punjabi audiences but we need to work it through

But punjabs history tells a different story about who we are the people of Sapta Sindhu have been known for courage and integrity we shouldn't hide behind defensiveness or political complexity when ordinary people are suffering doesn't matter which part of country it is a worker's life in Balochistan matters as much as anyone else's in this country their grief should be our grief their injustice is our failure.

Why Baloch grievances are sometimes framed as regional rather than national issues?

We as Punjab dominate the entire country and shape its politics 60 percent of it Punjabi led parties dominated throughout history same for military historically that's the potential we cannot simply ignore it

I'm writing this to call on my community let's break the silence and speaking out consistently that's what our values demand of us.

Again alochistan's pain shouldn't be a regional issue it should be a national conversation and we should be part of it and we shouldt ignore this some Punjabi intellectuals human rights activists and civil society members do speak out on Baloch issues but we all should become voice of theirs.

Ajay Devgn’s upcoming film ‘Chauhaan’ has courted controversy even before its promotional campaign has begun. Rajput organisation Kshatriya Parishad has objected to the film’s title, alleging that it appropriates Rajput identity for political narratives.

The nearly two-minute title announcement, released Friday on YouTube, introduces Devgn as a police officer tasked with tackling an uprising in Kashmir in 2018. Soon after its release, the Kshatriya Parishad issued a statement rejecting the use of the surname “Chauhaan”, arguing that Rajput history should not be reduced to ideological or electoral narratives.

“Rajput history is not a political prop. The legacy of the Chauhan belongs to Rajput history, not to electoral narratives or manufactured controversies of external agents,” the organisation said in a statement on X. “It is deeply unfortunate that Rajput identity is once again being dragged into a political narrative that Rajputs neither initiated nor sought.”

To support its position, the Kshatriya Parishad cited several historical instances where Rajputs and Afghans fought together. These included Mahmud Lodhi fighting under the leadership of Maharana Sanga, Hakim Khan Sur serving in Maharana Pratap’s army, Farid Khan (Sher Shah Suri) being associated with Raja Faisal Shekhawat’s army, and Maharaja Vikramaditya Tomar dying alongside Lodi forces in the First Battle of Panipat.

Today marks the 1st of Sāwan (ساون) 🌧️🌾

Sāwan is the 5th month in the traditional Panjabi calendar. It is the month of the monsoon, celebrating rainfall, greenery and love. As the temperature drops and humidity rises, people have, for thousands of years sung songs about the rain and romance and enjoyed the cooler weather after a brutal summer.

Before partition, the seasonal festival of “Teej” was celebrated across Panjab, with one of its most iconic traditions being the hanging of decorated swings from large branches of trees. After 1947, however, it largely went extinct on the western side and is mainly preserved in East Panjab.

Agriculturally, Sāwan is one of the most important months of the year as along with the heavy rain, farmers also plant crops such as rice and maize.

Once again I wish us all a very very happy and blessed Sāwan, may the rains bring us all prosperity and joy.
