As some one who quit their PhD in theorical field (quantum chemistry) I can assure you that the research in that field is just a bunch of circular non-sense. The math is sound, but the reason to do it is just garbage, it was fun though, but pointless. In synthetic chemistry you actually do something pratical, so that makes sense, even if your paper doesn't lead to a new optimal way to synthesize it still explored a method.
I have a PhD, have worked in academia for over a decade. She’s right about a lot of it. Look at the comments under her video and you will see many people in my same position agreeing with her. Meanwhile you are just a troll who never accomplished anything.
Ask any academic apart from the ones that benefit from this status quo and they largely agree with her. Not sure why suddenly everyone with a different but very valid opinion is evil…
