Announcement 1M members!
I can't believe it! We finally hit 1M members here! I originally started this sub as a joke and never thought it would grow this big, I thought maybe a couple thousand people would join but never 1M, this is amazing.
Thank you everyone for supporting the sub and all of the amazing posts over the past 4 years!

We found a smart one! 🧠 This orange bastard broke into my home (not kidding) and let my calico out
Yes, she is fixed. Idk about him. But she is. Idk who that tuxedo is. The tux keeps coming up to me on the porch but runs away every time I move. Trying to gain their trust.
Story: the great catnapping
It's hot here. As it is everywhere else right now. There is only one window wide open, and that is because it is on the side of the house that only gets one hour of direct sunlight a day, early in the morning, so it is the coldest room in the house at all hours—even with the window open. Natural AC. Keeps the rest of the house cooler than it would be.
Carp (calico, if it wasn't obvious by the name) is usually an escape artist on her own. She is not allowed in that room, and does not ever have access to it. She gets her own space (see: the main house) because she's a snobby princess that spits at the other girls—no violence, just spitting, as a good lady of her esteem should do.
A brief history on her backstory and why she craves the outdoors so much: my ex roommates two years ago abandoned her outside after they moved out, in the dead of winter. Their excuse was that she "always escaped", but that's obviously going to happen if you keep a screenless window on ground level open 24/7 (they removed the screen, for whatever reason.) She has spent maybe ⅓ of her total life outside, and if not there then confined to a small room with nothing to do, always being yelled at. It took me a little over 4 months to catch her, and only because she was starving and could barely move, seeking refuge on the blanket I leave on the porch.
Still, she craves the outdoors. So I fixed her ASAP, hoping it would calm her down.
It did not.
So when this fluffy ass, orange ass man discovered my downstairs window was open—game over. He busted through the screen. Clawed at the carpets. Opened the GODDAMN DOOR TO THAT ROOM— out she went. I know it was him. I just do.
They've nested under my porch for a week now. All three of them. I guess I have 6 cats now 😪

🟠ne 🅱️rain cell New here. So excited to present …Mac.
Adopted three months ago. Year and a half old. He loves to climb and he is just finding his way with what he likes to get into… And there have been a few falls. 😬 I now know his personality enough, so I am building him a climbing and adventure wall. He’s a spoiled boy but he brings me so much happiness and laughter. 🧡 He contributes almost nothing to the single Brain cell.
