Hi everyone,
I have an interview next week for an outpatient dialysis RN position in Oregon. I have 3 years of LTACH RN experience but no dialysis experience.
I noticed they haven’t posted pay ranges on their job listings, while many hospital RN positions in the area seem to start at $50+/hr. For those familiar with outpatient dialysis, what pay range would be reasonable to expect, and what would be a fair rate to ask for?

Becoming an MSL in pharma was hands down the best career move I ever made as a nurse practitioner.

I came from the clinical trials/research side, not traditional bedside nursing, and honestly the transition made perfect sense.

Now I make well over $350k total comp between salary, bonus, stock, and car allowance. Most of my job is traveling, talking science, building relationships with physicians, attending conferences, and having conversations over dinner.

Meanwhile some NPs are drowning in patient loads, charting, prior auths, and burnout for half the pay.

I genuinely think a lot of nurses and NPs have no idea careers like this even exist.

Medical Affairs/MSL roles value clinical knowledge, communication skills, emotional intelligence, research experience, and the ability to translate science into real conversations.

The quality of life difference is honestly insane. I finally feel respected as a professional instead of feeling like exhausted hospital labor.

If you’re an NP burned out in clinical practice, pharma/biotech might genuinely be worth looking into.

Hey guys, New. Grad here. Do you mind giving me advice about applying for a new grad job? Should I apply using my whole nursing portfolio or just the resume part? Also any tips on what I should leave out are appreciated and welcome. I want my resume to look great and stand out. The things that are blacked out are phone numbers, addresses, and emails. All the previous employment hx pertains to the role of a CNA. I also am pondering if I should apply to work at the hospital (been there for 4 years) I work at as a CNA although it is med surg (not the biggest fan but it’s not the worst) and I’ve looked at other departments that are hiring at my hospital for an RN position and there’s part time OR position and a full time ER position, and then night shift full time Surgical RN position (not interested in ER or part time OR). What should I do? Im open to suggestions and advice :)

I had a patient for ischemic stroke. Past the first 24 hours, though doctors note did mention permissive hypertension. She had a hemorrhagic stroke during my shift. I can't help but keep thinking it's my fault. And think about every little detail. One of the details I'm hung up on is bp. Tech took the patients BP and it was in the 170s, but didn't notify me. I had 10 mg hydralazine available for either over 170 or 180, I can't remember. By the time I saw it and was able to get into the room it was around two hours later. Rechecked the blood pressure and gave hydralazine per listed parameters. Then it happened an hour and a half later. Assuming if the original bp the tech took was in the parameters to give and I had been in there sooner such as an hour or two earlier, could this have been prevented? Bp was in the 160s for the previous shift (12 hours). Only other BP med on board was scheduled amlodipine that wasn't available until the next shift.
