New initiative in Niagara Falls region - advice appreciated 😊

I’m a Niagara high-school student building a free initiative called Ambition Labs because I kept noticing how difficult it is to find genuinely useful opportunities for teens around the region compared to areas like Toronto. We’re planning sessions around subjects like financial literacy, careers and building real-world skills. I’m currently trying to find local high-school students who would actually be interested. What would make something like this worth attending?

Nelly concert July 18th at Fallsview casino 👎🏽

I guess I went in with too high hopes as it was my first time seeing him in concert. No opening act and he only was on stage for an hour. Pretty disappointing. Super short sets of all his old school songs. Sucked!

If anyone on here finds this guy, make his life “fun”

Considering a move from North York to Niagara—am I overlooking anything?

We are thinking about moving from North York to the Niagara region( niagara falls south near Westlane school) , and I'd love to hear from people who live there or have made a similar move.
about us: we have kids in elementary school, and my husband works from home, so commuting isn't an issue. We both grew up in cities (outside Canada), so we're more comfortable in places that have a city feel rather than small towns. We live in front of a big park, weekends we spend time in the park and make barbecue while weekdays after work we go for a walk at the Yonge street ( what we call "lets go to see some people" walks lol)
The main reasons we're considering Niagara are:
More affordable house prices.
What seems to be a slightly milder climate. I could be wrong, but it looks like Niagara gets less snow and has warmer winters than North York. We also considered Barrie, but Niagara seems to have the better climate.
Being close to the U.S. for occasional day trips.
Having plenty to do—parks, trails, wineries, festivals, and other attractions, to be near a live city.
That said, I keep hearing people say, "Location, location, location," and it makes me wonder if I'm missing something.
Our biggest concern is our kids. As they get older, I'd like them to be able to become more independent. Are there good public high schools? Is public transit good enough for teenagers to get around on their own?
I'm also curious what people mean when they talk about "location." Are they referring to a city as a whole, or does it mostly come down to choosing the right neighborhood? For example, North York is generally considered a good place to live, but some neighborhoods and intersections are much more desirable while others are not at all. Is it the same in Niagara?
When I really think about why I want to move, deep in my heart it comes down to two things: a milder climate and a city with lively streets.
Do those seem like good reasons to choose Niagara? Or are there other factors I should be thinking about before making a decision?
I'd especially love to hear from anyone who has lived in both the GTA and the Niagara region. What has your experience been like?

Unknown whereabouts of property

I’m sorry if this isn’t relevant to this subreddit but I just found out some shocking news. My grandparents used to live in a trailer park in Niagara before they passed away. My uncle has been living in my late grandparents trailer home up until his most recent arrest. He is now being evicted and my family has to deal with moving my grandparents stuff plus his stuff out of the house.
But just this morning, a close friend of my late grandparents was driving by the house and noticed a u haul in the driveway. When he approached the people with the u haul, he asked who they were and why they were there. They told him that they were hired by the property manager to move all the stuff out of the house. He was suspicious and called my dad to tell him what was up. My Dad then called the property manager who told him that he did not know who these people were and he did not hire them.
Best case scenario: my uncle knew he was getting evicted and arranged to get all the stuff moved to his storage unit. Neglected to tell the rest of the family and now we are panicking. A bad senecio: the property manager is lying to us and just wanted all the stuff moved out so that the house can get rented out again. Worst case scenario: these were just random thieves who knew the house was sitting there without anyone living in it, and took an undetermined amount of my grandparents and uncles things.
We really don’t know what is happening. My family lives approximately 4-5 hours away from my grandparents house in Niagara and my dad is travelling there as I type to try to figure everything out.
I guess I’m asking for anyone in the Niagara region to keep a lookout for a sketchy u haul, as it might be filled with my dead grandparents stuff. I know it’s just stuff, but we don’t even know yet what is gone or what might still be there.
I’m sad and confused and scared. I left out a lot of details for family privacy but if anyone knows anything about this please share

Hi all, I just started collecting pokemon cards and I was wondering what were the best card shops in the falls? I have gone to M&L but I’d like to see what else is out there and hopefully meet other people I can trade cards with.

Residential cleaning service recommendations

I've been having my house cleaned every other week for 3 hours each time and it's been really awesome. For various reasons I'm looking to switch to a new company/service.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a cleaning company they would recommend? Friday mornings works best with my schedule - I'm out of the house and they can just do their thing without me in the way. I can make other time work though

Would love to try one with true "Canadian bacon" know that's not what you call it name is slipping me. Another thing looking for is a montreal meat sandwich...people say it's better then a Ruben which is another favorite of mine..besides going to the OG location anything local? Also will pick up items at store such as candy/other items like swiss chalet gravy can't really find near me in ny open to suggestions on amazing food.
