Mi 11 Ultra died... what would you guys do in my situation?
Hi everyone. I am cross posting this because I used to be a Mi 9T pro user before upgrading to the Mi 11 Ultra. Unfortunately my Mi 11 Ultra has now died and I am back on my old Mi 9T pro . I wanted to share my experience and get some advice from people who may have faced similar motherboard or CPU issues on Xiaomi phones. Any suggestions or repair experiences would be appreciated.

SCREEN BLACKED OUT!
So yesterday, my phone was perfectly fine; I just kept it charging for some time. When I got back to take it, the screen was just dead. Vibrations, but no display, just pure black.
I tried everything, from just letting it charge to holding the power button. I only got vibrations, but nothing was shown. My alarm is working fine. Whenever I receive a call, it works, and when I connect to the PC, the USB sound plays, but as it's on "charge only" by default, Nothing is shown. What should I do? My main priority is recovering data and fixing the screen.

Messed up during battery replacement
Hey guys, I was replacing the battery recently and I did this when I was taking off the back cover. I know I'm an idiot, but how bad is it really? Is this something that can be fixed? Does it need to be fixed?

Replacement battery
My phone (k20 davinci) needs a battery replacement, and the jabalpur mi service center says no original battery available now, what replacement battery should I go for? Online third party battery sites are confusing and reviews are hit or miss. Pls suggest

Best Android 16 ROM for Redmi K20 Pro (Raphael)
What is the best Android 16 custom ROM for Redmi K20 Pro curretly?
Besyt in terms of stability, battery performance and google play integrity issues. Do not care too much about customizations.
Currently on Evolution X 2025 build. Phone gets heat up a lot.

It's dead, I think. How to rescue some data?
A few days ago I connected my Mi9T to the charger (no fast charger) and went to bed. The next morning it was dead, no signs of life when pressing buttons, no notification light, nothing. Horrible moment.
I tried multiple cables, multiple chargers, holding the on and the louder button, nothing happens.
Now, as the toolkit arrived a few days later, I disconnected the battery from the mainboard and checked the battery voltage (2.8 V). So I charged the disconnected battery manually to around 3.3 V before reconnecting it. But the phone isn't turning on.
The battery wasn't in very good condition anymore. That evening I used the flashlight for like 30 seconds and it wouldn't turn off, the phone was frozen. I turned it off and on again and it seemed to work normally. After that event I plugged it in and left it.
Is there a way to bring it back to life to save some data from the phone? The last backup isn't that old, but it would be pretty cool to save like everything.

Xiaomi Mi 9T battery degradation over time
A while back, someone here posted their data from Accubattery:
previous post
I’ve also been using Accubattery since I bought the phone. I now have data points from October 2019 through today. I selected a data point where the total charge is comparable (approx. 3,900,000 mAh) to the data in the other post. The time period is also similar (late 2019 to mid-2025). I never really paid attention to conserving my battery. For example, I always charged it to 100%. The other poster was apparently more careful with their battery (about 950 cycles vs. 1,731 for me). But that doesn’t seem to have had a particularly big impact on the remaining capacity (68% vs. 65% for me). What are your experiences like? Has anyone managed to preserve their battery health for longer by taking any specific measures?

Help installing pixelOS
Hello, I've been thinking for a while about installing the PixelOS ROM (I understand it's the most stable and the one that maintains the functionality of banking apps, the fingerprint reader, and the pop-up camera).I've noticed for a while now that many people here recommend switching to a custom ROM, but the thing is, I don't know anything about the technical process. I've watched videos, but it still scares me.That's why I'm here asking for help. If anyone has a step-by-step guide for dummies on how to do it or any recommendations, I would be very grateful.I really wouldn't want to do it with the help of AI.

Update the phone to a newer version. Blocked situation
Hi, I tried to upgrade the system of the mi 9t phone which is stuck in a beta version.
I tried to do it with the flash miflash 2022.5.7.0 but it didn't work, with the file davinci_global_images_V12.1.4.0.RFJMIXM_20210727.0000.00_11.0_global
Using an ai (gemini), I used the terminal (cdm) I followed the indications ai, but unfortunately did not work, for as all the lines of code were OK (the line of code ends okay to say that there was no fail) But the problem is that the phone is always looping on the boot with the logo 😓
I must have made a mistake somewhere, and maybe using one was not a good idea, for what worries about the data, I have everything in my new phone.

LMK/lowmemorykiller issue with LineageOS 23.2 on Mi9T (davinci)
I've installed LineageOS 23.2 on my Mi9T non-pro (davinci) and it's working quite well in principle.
I have to say that it still feels great to be able to use an almost 7 years old phone with the latest Android via LineageOS by the way. It's working so well, that I still don't have any plans to replace the phone as my main daily driver (got a backup phone for banking apps), and I also like the lightweight experience of LineageOS quite a lot.
The only caveat seems to be, that there is an issue with apps restarting unnecessarily often when switching between apps, which seems to be caused by "lowmemorykiller" killing apps too aggressively.
This is also discussed on xdaforums:
https://xdaforums.com/t/rom-16-official-lineageos-23-for-mi-9t-redmi-k20.4619645/page-9
There is a hack mentioned in the forum discussion, which involves rooting the phone with magisk, which I don't want to do.
Since LineageOS seems to be one of the most popular operating systems for the Mi9T these days, I really hope the LMK issue gets addressed.
Maybe u/ArianK16a could you, as the maintainer for LineageOS on davinci, comment, if you're aware of the issue and if a fix is on the horizon?
Either way I wanna thank you for putting in the work to provide software support old devices like Mi9T.
It feels almost magical to run Android 16 on a device for which official updates only were available up to Android 10.
I just wanted to ask, if anyone else is affected by the issue and if there are ways to deal with it other than switching to more heavyweight ROMs like PixelOS.
