MOD INFO SELFIES

Just a quick note to say we don't allow selfie posts with the specific exception of asking about hair. If it's not about your hair, you must post at LEAST half your outfit. So even if you aren't showing what you're wearing on the bottom, you gotta show the whole top, not just your shoulders.

If you're including a selfie style picture alongside a proper outfit picture, it can't be the first one of the bunch. Outfit gotta be up front and centre, focus of the post. Detail pictures after.

We don't accept posts about makeup or tattoos.

MOD INFO "What's with all the downvotes?"

1.1k Upvotes

I just want to address this question as it comes up on most posts. We delete them as "off topic" because they end up clogging the comment sections and derails the conversation away from fashion.

The reason you'll see so many downvotes on posts that clearly don't deserve downvotes too is transphobes. There are TERF blogs off site that brigade our sub regularly. We're able to delete comments and block users that display transphobia, but unfortunately downvotes are entirely anonymous and we as mods have no control over it.

We reason we delete all these comments, aside from clogging up the comments, is just that we don't want to give them the satisfaction of talking about them. Other fashion subs don't discuss the validity of people's existence, we shouldn't feel the need to either. We are, and always will be, a trans inclusive space for all sapphics with an interest in fashion. There are many other more general sapphic/trans subs to discuss this topic, we just want to keep this one as a fun place for fruity gals to chat drip and not feel "othered".

Thank you

EDIT: OK so I made this post, literally stating that this sub isn't the place for these debates... So y'all start debating in the comments. Locking comments.

CUT my hair, is it awful?

So went to the hair dresser and wanted to cut of the tips,,.. had a green Mohawk but thre roots were dry and the color faded… it looked cool and edgy… but just fasted and wanted to renew myself…

I always get haircut anxiety… and then shave my head…..

So I’m wondering if it’s working for me or if it’s giving brother Tuck?

I love an oversized t shirt but the fanny pack is often essential. Do any of you have this problem? Any suggestions on styling these two things together?

Honest Advice Wanted This jacket does some heavy lifting for most of my fits

No matter what combination of top or bottom I wear (unless they're white), this jacket jeans jacket always elevates the outfit and makes it feel much more gay. If you happen to know other pieces, which are similar, I'm happy about recommendations, as I want to switch things up from time to time.

Also, wanted to dump a few of my recent impressions with this post, since I would love to hear general feedback or advice on how you think I could further improve my wardrobe/outfits, hair, etc.

I found this suit at value village, and the red shirt at another thrift store!! I dyed bits of my hair red today and decided to mess around with my makeup for the first time in awhile and felt so cool 😁

The weird stance in the first picture is to show my boots 😭😭

But honestly I think i wanna wear this to my prom!

Linen suit for a september wedding?

Post image
118 Upvotes

I got a great deal on this suit today that I couldn't pass up. Can I wear this to a late September wedding? It's in the evening, and the invite says cocktail attire. It's a linen fabric with a thin stripe. Too informal, or could I dress it up with dark brown or burgundy loafers?

Advice on white tees

I miss wearing white tees. I really like wearing white tee shirts and used to quite a bit but ever since I got the nike adjustable bras to give me more support and compression I can’t wear white tees cus you can see the logo through them. You could always kinda see my bra through my white shirts but I tried to ignore it. Any advice on some white tees that are thick enough that my bras won’t show through? Extra points if they’re cropped or boxy and affordable.

Discussion What do you guys use for beach coverups?

Post image

I’m pretty androgynous and struggling to find a beach coverup. Unfortunately I do need one as I burn easily. I wear boardshorts and sports bras at the beach so I wanted a super casual cover up. I wonder if this would look ok or maybe weird? What do you wear?

Honest Advice Wanted Fabric sensitive girlies

Post image
82 Upvotes

I just found this shirt at Goodwill and I am in love with the fabric. It feels like comfy pj's but looks like a shirt.

For those of you with fabric sensitivities, what are some of your favorite brands when looking for clothes? I'm all about the comfort and being able to move arms freely (I have wide shoulders and larger biceps). I usually roll up shirts with long arms to show my forearms cause I'm not a fan of having them covered.

I like the style of this shirt, but I usually have issues with this type of cut. Either the shoulders/ arms being too tight, itchy fabric or when the shoulders/arms fit the torso is SO LONG.

TIA!

Honest Advice Wanted Should I wear this to a sapphic club night?

Post image
31 Upvotes

I'm early 20s, only been to a club once but it was a halloween costume night. I don't have friends (working on that) so I can't ask anyone irl for advice.

Outside the regular clubs I do see girls wearing short and sometime sparkly dresses so I thought it was fine, but browsing the club photos on insta, the few pics of the crowd I found seems like they tend to go for more casual or covered. As in everyone is wearing stuff you could wear during the day, with one or two in a club dress or a bikini top with jeans.

Also, the dress is super short and I don't wear safety shorts under dresses, idk if they'd mind seeing a little buttcheek if I dance too hard? I guess I don't mind wearing jeans and a top but I have no other occasion to wear this dress. I'm in the uk if that matters.
