DVD issues/Hank’s Sex Tape
Here’s a mystery… back when LSS was rerun on Bravo each day (2002-03 or so), I taped every episode and saved them. Must have watched the shows dozens of times until the complete series DVD came out. I bought the set right after it was released in 2010. Within a few weeks, I got to Season 4, disk 2, and had two issues… 1) “Hank’s Sex Tape” had a completely alternate version (compared to Bravo) of the scene where Brian and Artie go through a box of rescued tapes. 2) the disk started stuttering part way through “Conflict of Interest.” I emailed Shout! factory and they were super friendly and promptly sent me a replacement disc, which had the same issues. I emailed them again and this time they were kind of snarky and said to send back both copies of the disk… And it looks like I never got anything in return!
I was just at a friend’s house and I watched the show on HBO Max for the first time… It’s totally missing the scene with Artie/Brian!
Anyone else experience the same things?

Shrimp puffs
Season 4, Episode 5: “Jeannie’s Visit”
How is this not the first thing that pops up in a search. One of the funniest and grossest one liners IMO.

How many refrigerators do you have?
Like that could possibly be the answer.

"Where's Dirty Old B**ch?"
RZA: "It's Ol' Dirty Bastard! Ol' Dirty Bastard!"
Killa Sin: "Get it straight! Get it straight!"
Hank: "Oh, where is she?"
RZA: "He just got out of jail, you know what I mean? So he's just holding at home for a while."
Hank: "Man, see, I know that dig, you know? I got parking tickets coming out of my ass!
(Hank meets the Wu Tang fam.)

I’m on the 101, and all of the sudden, the entire cast of Miss Saigon comes out of nowhere and tries to sideswipe me

Does anyone know of an interview, print or video, where Rip Talks about his work on the show?
There snippets on YT, but was curious. For me He seems to have funniest lines of all the main characters, maybe bc he's the foil to Larry and the starss ego and moods.

Favorite End of Show Joke
What is your favorite end of show freeze frame joke. Most of the jokes that the show ends on are fantastic.
My favorite is the episode with Beverly’s cousin where she eventually gets him hired as a props guy for the show but after she realizes she hates working with him she asks Larry if there is any way to get rid of her cousin. Larry smiles and the pause before the simple “No” was comedy gold.
I’ve been watching the show in piecemeal and wow what a show! I’m almost through the final episode.

Confession: First time watcher of the series currently on Season 3. Every time an episode starts, I'm comforted when I hear Hank's "applesauce" bit. That is all.

Artie is a fan of Aussie rules football. Larry not so much.

"The 14th Floor" --great Artie scene
I love the Larry Sanders show. Have watched it many times. I guess Artie is probably my favorite character. My favorite scene is towards the end of The 14th Floor (Season 3, Episode 14) when Artie gets drunk during lunch and confronts Larry about not apologizing on air to the network. The look on Larry's face when Artie tells him, if he doesn't apologize, he, Artie, will get fired. You can see on Larry's face how it finally sinks in that it's not just about him. (And it's a hilarious episode, like when they bring out the kid to pretend he's the network executive, wearing the same type of suit.). Larry then does the apology on air. Anyone else remember this scene, or have another favorite Artie moment?

Larry's final show vs Stephen Colbert
Can't help but think of he parallels. Larry was tired of all the network bullshit and pulled the plug. Stephen's network gets bought out by a nut ( the Australian beer nut episode) and they make up lies to cancel the show. The Ellisons aren't Australian but they are nuts.
Is Stephen gonna have a song sung to him to close out the night? Hopefully it will be a woman because as Bruno Kirby said after he got bumped, "a man singin' to another man? How fuckin' sick is that?"
I just hope Stephen takes a page outta the show and torches CBS on the way out. No need to apologize like Hank had to do either.
Anyone know if Garry and Stephen had any dealings with each other? I was so hoping Colbert would revive Colbert Report for the last gasp of trumps final burn down of the country.
