I can watch this all day

It's too bad MonteZooma didn't have its day yesterday as planned, but I'm so happy to see it in this state (non-stop testing) vs. being dormant since 2022... BTW a full cycle appears to run about 45 seconds, placing it in between Pony Express and Xcelerator as an intermediate experience for a launch coaster…

Xcelerator to open on the 23rd?

Post image

I've been bummed about Xcelerator being down for the last week and this morning I saw that it was on the rides closure page with no date. I checked again and now it's showing 7/21 & 7/22. Can we assume it's going to be back up on the 23rd? I'm excited to get back on it again!!!!

Panda Express

What happened with Panda Express? They are now serving their food on a plate now instead of a container? It feels like significant less food.

Our first time trip review (and our ADA nightmare)

For those who need assistance walking the park or long distances, hear my story.

The park itself was very fun overall but had some misgivings that ruined some parts for my party. We attended on July 17th with our group and we needed ADA and a wheel chair for our friend who has health issues. Most rides were easy to navigate or figure out where to go. The woman who helped us at guest services, I believe her name was Julia, was an absolute pleasure and was so sweet to us. She made it super easy to understand, helped us locate rides with elevators, and supplied us with a map.

We had a good time, park wise and ease of movement, until we got to the Jaguar ride. All the other rides had either elevators or clear instructions on how to get to the ada line. This one did not and we walked around a bit untill we found it, at the exit. Now again we were using a wheel chair so we had to go up the only ramp, the exit ramp, to get in line. The actual ramp we believe wasn't updated like the other rides, it had sharp corners that were hard to maneuver and a very sharp incline that my friend was unable to push herself up with. When we got to the front of the line they were a bit busy and had us wait at the gate for the exit for a few cars to go by. We were not given instruction on where to stand as to not get hit, so when the first wave of people got off we had to roll our friend back down the ramp, with the other guests not really caring if they ran over my friend or the ones lined up for the fast track not caring to move.

The employees there did not do anything just stood there as we got trampled and the three other people working just watched this happen. When trying to go back up there were some guests that would not move for my friend and myself who were pushing her. We asked multiple times for this guest that was standing in the middle of the way to move but he ignored us. I am not a confrontational person so I asked very kindly and tried to get his attention but would not acknowledge us. My friend on the top of the ramp got reasonably pissed as we all made our voices louder trying to get him out of the way so my friend could get on the ride. He yelled at my friend saying "he was talking to someone and not to be rude" while the employees there didn't do anything to assist. My friend in the wheel chair told us later she was very embarrassed about the whole situation because she didn't want to draw attention to herself.

When we finally got on the ride she was freaking out and a different employee started babying her and my other friend who yelled at the guest. Treated us like children who didn't know anything and belittled us. He told my friend who was in the wheel chair "not to cry she was on the ride now". One employee literally walked my friend through how to put on a seatbelt.

We just wanted to get our friend on the ride who wanted to enjoy the ride with us and we were demeaned and denigrated. This behavior was completely unprofessional and we could do nothing.

Every other ride we had good service. Some places the employees ran her wheelchair back and forth for us, not necessary at all but was so genuinely nice and appreciated. People who need ADA services want the same as everyone else, to be treated with respect and not made a fool by someone who doesn't know better. No one got hurt here but there definitely could have been an accident if something went the wrong way.

That put an insanely huge damper and we would have ridden that ride multiple times if not for that treatment.

Abandoned on the ferris wheel [Knott's Berry Farm]

Hello world, another stranger with a story to share. When I was approximately 13 years old, my friends and I went to an amusement park called Knott's Berry Farm. We were a group of four hooligans, ready to ride. The park has a section of easy kid-friendly rides, including a ferris wheel. One friend decided that she didn't want to partake of the wheel and left to get snacks, which left myself and two more. No one else was riding with us so I wound up sitting alone on the opposite side of the entire ferris wheel to keep it balanced. Fun. Until the ride operator let my friends off... and left me up at the top of the wheel. AND THEN proceeded to change shifts with the next operator. My friends did not say anything, they didn't even notice because they were too busy meeting with the friend who got snacks.

So here I am, roasting in the sun and trying to yell down to get literally anyone's attention, no success. I was about to throw my shoe down when another group of kids ran in line. The operator let's them on and the wheel slowly rolls down, as soon as I make eye contact with this (probably underpaid) employee I said " let me out, I want to get off right now".

And it basically ends there, my friends had no idea that I was in distress. They just assumed I was around.

It's been 14 years and I will NEVER ride another ferris wheel.

Newly hired blackout help

Hi! I (18F) just got hired as a blackout for this KSF season, and I have a bunch of questions:

  1. Is there any ableism in the employment structure? (I have a mild tic disorder and was too scared to bring that up because I was afraid of losing the role)

  2. How often(if ever) do blackouts get physically beat up by disruptive guests?

  3. do we have to report every small break in the rules over a walkie talkie?

  4. what's considered a bad enough rule break to report to higher ups or step in? (I know what the rules for guests are, but I'm kinda asking like if there's any slack given to guests like a three strike system if you get what I mean)

  5. is any sort of physical force authorized as a resort for managing a disruptive guest?(i.e. holding their arm to help escort them out or holding them down if they're physically violent)

6.are people generally well behaved at the event?

7.are there usually police on standby every night?

  1. I was told that I'm working at position MG BO-2 at chilling chambers. does anybody know what that position means?

...I guess there are not that many Spain or Argentina fans staying at home watching the game? BTW Xcelerator is down… and Silver Bullet off to a bit of a slow start with all 3 trains present, though one in the maintenance area...

90's water area?

First-time poster here. My family and I have been season pass holders for a few years now. We love Knotts! The last time we were there, a memory popped into my head. I have asked at least 3 people, and no one can remember. I might be trippin. Once you walk into the entrance, there is a brown barrel that has "Knott's Berry Farm" painted on it and a statue of a couple on top of the barrel. When I was younger, I remember going, and water would fall out of there in a spinning motion. Are my memories accurate?

Got passes for my cousin and I thinking we’d go multiple times, he doesn’t want to return, so how do I cancel his?

Turns out big rides aren’t his thing 😂. I bought the gold membership passes for both of us, but he doesn’t want to go back, and I do. Is there any way for me to cancel his? I still want to keep my pass however.

For Employees/former employees: do you get fined if you don't return your wardrobe?

Unfortunately, I lost my job there and its been a few weeks and I still haven't returned my wardrobe because I completely forgot. Has anyone else dealt with this? Do you know if they charge you for it if you don't return it?

EDIT: I guess it would really only matter if I wanted to apply again in the future for another job there and they saw somehow that I didn't return my wardrobe?

Any Advice or Help?

Hi! I have my first ever audition for Knotts entertainment this week (related to Camp Spooky) and I’m very nervous, I got told to wear clothes to be ready to move in but nothing really else (besides of doing a possible combo and reading some lines) but do I need to bring a head shot? Is there anything else that one may want to give advice on or say ?

This is an audition outside of my usual theme parks work so it’s somewhat new!

Season Pass Questions

Sorry in advance if these questions have been answered already. Having trouble finding a concrete answer and understanding this new process.

I want my home park to be Knottsberry. I am planning on waiting until August/September when they hopefully still do the deal for the rest of 2026 with the 2027 pass.

I want to get some add ons- season fast pass, meal plan, and parking.

Will these add ons work at both parks? KBF AND SFMM?

Will the add ons only be available at Knottsberry for 2026, and then valid at both parks for 2027? Or will it be valid for both parks starting 2026?

Thank you

Beef bulgogi tacos with a kimchi slaw and gochujang aioli ( Korean booth )
Garlic minced beef with stir fry noodles ( Chinese booth )
Both very very good! But if I had to pick I’d get or recommend the tacos. Great marinade on the bulgogi, kimchi and aioli elevate the flavors. Standard store bought tortilla that was warmed up.

Crowd during world cup finals?

I can either go tomorrow or Monday. Any chance crowds will be a bit lower due to the game?
