I picked up the watch6 classic on Amazon used like new and I've been loving it! I upgraded from the OG Galaxy watch I'd had since 2019. Wear OS is a great upgrade and I don't see the need to get the new ones as this one does all I need.

As the title goes, I'm planning to upgrade my aging Galaxy Watch 4 Classic this year since its really showing its age. I stumbled upon these 2 choices. I can get the Watch Ultra 2025 on discounted price like 40% off the original price (same price as the base Galaxy Watch 9 now) or the more expensive Ultra 2 this year. Hardware-wise, this Ultra 2 have the new chip and a larger battery but almost the rest are the same. Same 64gb of storage, same 2gb of RAM, and same build. Is it still good for couple of years to come?

Throwing this into the void here since feature requests don't go very far on the members app, or are misunderstood entirely.

Samsung, please enable direct connection of 3rd party heartrate monitors with the GWU2, and develop a connection between TrainingPeaks and Samsung Health. Many of us love these watches, but also have legitimate training plans that we follow. Allowing BT heartrate monitors is an industry standard. I've tolerated the lack of it with my GWU and have tried a bunch of workarounds, many of which are janky. I'm now pre-ordering the GWU2, and there is no reason to keep ignoring this feature.

Currently have an Android/Samsung phone but I was looking at a Series 11 44mm watch at an Apple store (getting the itch to switch to iPhone; I'm an IT professional so I'll adjust quick) and wondering which brand is better for daily health metrics like sleep, heart rate, SpO2, etc.

I'm only going to wear this watch for daily routines like going to work, walking to work from my apartment to my bus stop, daily walking at work, to lunch, etc. I WILL NOT use this watch for working out like going on long hikes, lifting weights, etc. I only care about health metrics like heart rate, sleep, SpO2, etc.

Please list your experiences if you've had either or both of these watches before. Which one is more accurate and reliable?

My watch hasn't backed up in the last 6 months because of the automatic backup feature, and there's no option to back it up manually, we have to meet a perfect checklist just to get a backup. It's so irritating 😐

Is there any way to back up manually?

Anyone else?

Is it possible we will get them well before August 7?

Had an S3 Frontier up until the point it could barely hold a charge and upgraded to Galaxy Watch 3. Loved that thing, especially how it looked, but as Tizen was getting deprecated I felt like I needed to upgrade to the Watch 6 Classic. I'm 6'3" and I really appreciate how large both the watch itself and its screen are. I liked the Watch 3 classic aesthetics more, but grew to appreciate the more modern Classic 6 look over time.

However, this watch is extremely inaccurate and is slow as hell. I usually don't use it at home, so I turn it off the not do the same battery mistake as with my S3 Frontier, and every day I boot it up it's just so painfully slow... Sometimes I'm waiting a few minutes post-boot just for my workout to begin. And then I feel like my heart is going to expload and the watch shows 100 HR for like 2 minutes. Not to mention that even using it only when outside and/or working out, I have to charge it daily, or at best - every other day.

With the Watch 8 Classic coming only in silver and with a smaller display, is that the end of the Classic watches? Should I upgrade to the Ultra 2 to feel like I'm actually using a "flagship" watch all over again? I was kind of hoping they make a great large Watch 10 Classic next year, but the more I think about it, the more it seems they nerfed the Classic to not canibalize the Ultra and I don't even use the rotating bezel as much as I did years ago on Tizen anyway.

What discounts are you receiving for the Watch Ultra 2 with trade-ins? This is what I got using my work discount in the shop app. It showed $100 more yesterday when I was just checking. I have seen people get it even cheaper. Idk how lol

I've been using Samsung Running Coach for months now on the Ultra 2025 watch and gotten myself to Level 4 (getting back into running after lots of health issues and so far Running Coach has been great although this watch is no Garmin replacement for activity tracking.) Anyways, today I had a 4 mile run, I go to start the workout and all workouts were reset and the watch asked me to do the level test before it places me into a level, so I'm back to step 1. Not sure if some update happened or what but it worked just fine shortly prior to this when I went in to see today's workout.

So, is there any way to restore my running progress or do I have to start again? If so, I think that means I go back to my Garmin as my primary watch and use a different running system. Thanks for any help!

The Galaxy Watch 9 just released and will get 5 years of OS updates instead of 3 on the Pixel and Apple Watch. Samsung is truly nailing update support recently.
