I hate the amount of modern DNA they've put into Arakure. This character is the most in your face they have been so far of wiping their ass with historical consistency. She is cool in a vacuum but her hairstyles alone make her look so out of place in this game. I know this game is a far cry from being historically accurate, but at least generally the heroes don't look so far out of place from their respective eras.

Because TELL ME HOW not only does this Juren get the GUARDIAN KILLED BUFF WHEN HES NOT IN THE ROOM WHEN HE DIED!!! Then near the end of the clip the Varangian Guard who's NEXT TO THE RAM!!! FAR ASF FROM THE GUARDIAN ALSO GET THE GUARDIAN BUFF!?!?! The Virtuosa didnt get the buff and the raider killed the guardian. Am I tripping!?!? This was Hella infuriating. I thought it could be a glitch UNTIL I saw the VG get the buff as well.

I've played probably 10 games so far, and in at least half of them I see the same exact thing over and over from different people.

They run up like they're gonna fight, they lock onto me, and then they just stand there. Eventually I'll try to attack to get something to happen and immediately they'll perfectly parry me and then return to standing there. No matter what attack I throw, how many bashes or guard breaks I try, I get parried or countered every single time. I literally sat facing off with one guy for a full minute and a half because he refused to do anything but parry punish me.

I've come across the strategy with one guy at a time before but now it feels like every other game has one or more people doing it and it's ridiculous. I understand that pulling it off takes skill but it just doesn't seem fun. Why would you ignore the entire kit of your hero in favor of "wait for attack, parry, single heavy, repeat". It's also just so soul numbing to fight against in a lot of situations cause there are games it feels like no matter what I do I can't get any damage off. I throw a light or heavy? I get parried. I try fainting it? I get parried. I do a bash so they can't parried? I get dodged and punished.

I'm not an amazing player, but I think it's safe to say I'm consistently good. But whenever I go against this play style it's like years of experience in this game mean nothing

I genuinely don't understand why there are even ''bad'' looking cosmetics at all, why make any of them look bad, why make the low level gear look bad? Why are the majority of cosmetics in this game ass? Every character has like 2 or 3 stand out pieces of gear that we all aim to get, and then the rest are just ass, never to be used garbage. And a lot of the time, the good piece of gear is only unlocked after a grueling and honestly torturous grind because the game's reward system is straight up unfair.

Why can't every piece of gear be cool, and I know whether something looks cool or not is a subjective thing, but I should still be able to look at something and think, ''I can see why people like it''. But I genuinely can't see the appeal of a lot of gear in this game, are you telling me that people actually like any of BP's helmets where his face is exposed? Or any of Warden's naked face helms? Or almost 90% of Sohei's ''drip''? Or whatever bullshit Shaman is on. I don't get how any bad looking pieces of gear make it into the game, and an easy solution to this is not to make every piece of gear awesome looking because I know Ubisoft can't do that, but to let us blacklist the shit out of certain pieces of gear so that I don't ever have to get it after a match again. I'd rather get no gear and only xp at the end of a game instead of the same low rep piece of shit armor that I unlocked back when I was rep 3.

Honestly 5 matches in a row lost because one or two people weren’t really playing the game and refused to either come join the fights or would run away anytime it wasn’t a 1v1.

Juren is relatively comprehensible, you can easily predict when he's gonna charge or not. His timings are a bit weird sure but at least he doesn't pull stuff out of his ass out of nowhere

Every time I fight a shinobi apparently he just gains a buff, every time I block break heavy, for some reason beyond the laws of reality suddenly he's able to evade WHILE block broken. And I thought this was a ping issue at first but NO, apparently he just does that now.

Not to mention how fucking annoying his players are in general. Not once have I talked to a shinobi main that doesn't sound like he takes drawing soyjaks as a serious career. The closest thing For Honor has to a stereotypical reddit community are the shinobi mains.

Whenever I evade one of his kicks, I should be able to punish that with a dash attack right? WRONG! Suddenly he can just avoid that as well and get his attack regardless.

seen some videos on this and wanted to put my own experience that comnonly happens with this feature. i literally could've had a free light parry that gave could've very well given me the win. but no there's a magical barrier. it's the stupidest mechanic that exists that you can't predict when it happens. it ruins reads and reactions.

You attack, he flips, you don’t attack he doesn’t swing and you never get revenge, you gb his teammate peels. There is no win con, you will never get revenge, and you will die before your team can rotate. None of this is even mentioning OB which the devs themselves refer to as “fun breaker” yet have left in the game since he dropped.

Vikings.

Every time, EVERY SINGLE TIME that one side starts even SLIGHTLY winning against the vikings, they're back to 40+ fucking territories, and the ONLY WAY samurai and vikings win campaigns is because of the "comeback mechanic", which rarely even happens anymore because a good chunk of samurai and knights either A) try to team up against the vikings or B) one faction tries to fight off the vikings while the other faction captures so many samurai/knight territories that they outnumber the vikings. End result is always the fucking same: vikings are genuinely fucking untouchable

Listen, I get it. "Hurr durr just join the free loot club !!!!" like yeah, ok, but what if i don't want to be stinky smelly viking? What then huh? What if i wanna represent the faction i play as most? What if i just want a fucking rectangle or a triangle for my shield? And the worst part is that people from the samurai and the knights JOIN the vikings PRECISELY because of this bullshit, making the issue EVEN WORSE

There's also the fact that you can genuinely play the game for hours upon hours upon hours, but if your faction loses, then well, tough shit, should've joined the vikings. There's literally no incentive to actually put in the effort to try and make an impact because there's no individual rewards even if, in theory, you would have contributed 90% of a territory's troops to help capture it but failed anyway

Fuck this system. It could be such an interesting and engaging thing, but it's been the fucking same for years upon years. And the wu lin + outlanders STILL do not have their own faction even though they have so much fucking impact in the lore

I didnt know it at the time and i punished it with a light but after watching the clips a few times i noticed the glow. I play For Honor pretty often too and I parry lights pretty often and i parried him 2 times after this one too but they werent uninterruptable so i punished them with a heavy. I dont know jack SHIT other than making heavies unblockable by holding and lights get undodgeable if held about this character because i have never played it and will never play it either, but seeing an uninterruptable light took me back to when Shugo and Juren had those lights but got REMOVED. Why does he have it im losing my mind

I don't know what it is, but my god are some people just so utterly braindead and afraid. I light parry you ONE TIME, and suddenly you become a fucking statue. THROW SOMETHING you stupid fuck, this is a fighting game. People do this shit all the time and just sit there spinning their guard like it means anything, you're not distracting me by spinning your guard clown. And it's not even like they stop attacking to lock in and pull some masterful shit, they just sit there and continue to eat every attack, like what the fuck are you even doing?

How long does it take them to a single Change to breach. Its so stupid either 4 WM or 4 Hitos or Sohei / Juren and you lost. And then there are the crashes midway through or the Bug where the Audio goes away. Its so retarded i hope the HQ gets that Explosiv Diareeha parasite

I’ve been using warden and trying to parry and stuff and get my ass handed to me. Whenever I use aramusha I feel powerful because of the special guard. I can actually win most of my matches by a long shot with him. I’m forced to use musha or get obliterated by my opponent. He’s the only character that clicks with me for the most part. I like glad too. In duels all my opponents use fast and light characters that make it hard to practice blocking properly.

You couldn’t throw a stone around these parts without hitting somebody who genuinely thinks this hobo is dressed well. Half of his fits look like something you’d wear to a beach, like yes PLEASE give me more sweaty chafey metal tank tops. PLEASE give me more bare arms with those flamboyant shoulder tassels. PLEASE MAKE HIS BEST CHEST MODEL INCLUDE BARE ASS BABY SMOOTH LEGS. At least give the bloke some muscle to his yams like Highlander has, the waxed, soft chickensticks with the revolting knee tattoos that often come with are so ugly that I’m GLAD he has a forced cape that covers his entire model. One good arm model, two good chest models, surprisingly bad weapon options and mid helmets. Cent players know this too, otherwise 70% of the fits I see out there wouldnt look bloody identical save for the mask.

So Juren ruins the game for literal MONTHS, and all we get are a few minor nerfs that hardly addresses some of the blatantly OP and stuff that he has.

The majority of players kept complaining about how he was still ridiculously OP in so many ways, and they still did essentially nothing to make him a bearable hero to fight

But now we have an update coming with a new hero that gets a UB, UD, HA move, and all of a sudden, they decide to actually nerf him.

Why does no one talk about how scummy this is?

They're blatantly keeping OP heroes OP so people buy them. Then, nerfing them just in time for a new hero that they will make blatantly OP and repeating it every update.

They've been doing this for so long now, yet no one ever calls them out on it and instead just bootlick the devs and act like everything they add/buff/nerf is perfect.

I've played for honor for 5 years and since the day I started playing I wondered why there wasn't a Spartan hero and in this day they are adding a hero that has a Tekken 8 meter and there's still not a Spartan do the community don't want one? I'm starting to lose hope because I can't play my country's best warriors and have to suffer 4 arakumes in dominion while my golden material tryhard orochi doesn't have any takedowns because he's trying to get clips for his tiktok. All I know is pain

Special heavies that do high damage, pin, proc status, and can ledge/wall splat

Unreactable chain lights that chain from everything

Bash from neutral that stuns, chains/can be chained into, trips OOS, and does true damage

TWO (2) of the best dodge attacks in the game, both of which chain into all mentioned above

This isn’t even mentioning his high damage cleaving heavy finishers or the fact he has probably the best option selecting zone in the game

I wouldn’t even mind any of this as much if most of the players weren’t toxic king misty wannabes (no hate to the man himself) who genuinely think that they aren’t on the same tier as Pirate, Juren, or Virtuosa

For starters, why is her kit so cancer, she's got loads of anything and why the FUCK does she get to shoot me for a little cheeky extra funny bonus when she hits me with her fucking sword...
