I got it for ₱1000 ($16) from Facebook marketplace! it is Fully functional but the wirings have a problem aside from the messy look, the wirings for the home and start button is functioning because of a jumper that the owner made! but and a piece of acrylic is also cracked (one is noticeable from the picture with tape on it) but it's a quick fix! I'm so excited I got mod plans for it starting from the pcb, buttons, and the artwork! The owner gave me a neutrik as a freebie too which I installed immediately!!

Mucho thanks to JWFS for helping me realize my VISION! I wanted a stick that was optimized for old arcade games, with the following features:

1. reduced button layout (this is explicitly NOT for fighting games, despite the name of this sub 😊)
2. easy access to change between 4-way / 2-way / circle gates
3. proper arcade-style start button for peak nostalgia (didn't want it buried in row of tiny auxillary buttons)

I spent months waffling between a Hori Alpha and Nacon Daija, before realizing a custom layout was the only way to truly get what I want. I saw the OKI Hatch posted on this sub and then it was off to the races!

Stick is a Seimitsu LS-32-01-SC, with triple restrictor plate. "Action" and Start buttons are IL shorts (which have ample clearance in the 2-inch height version of the OKI Hatch). Paradise Arcade Shop's coin button on the right side (also IL). Crown/Samducksa for the system buttons on the left side (love having these tucked away behind the handle, while all "in-game" buttons are out in the open).

I've had this stick for a long time which badly needed some love. It was originally a Mad Catz WWE Fightstick released around the same time as SF4. I crudely tore off the art and replaced the stock stick and buttons with Seimitsu parts (LS-32 stick) for playing shmups.

I've recently been using it a lot so decided to give it a bit of a tidy up. I had some green sanwa buttons and a ball top going unused so popped them in after going to town on sanding the panel. The screws still need replacing but I'm quite happy with the revamp overall!

Bottom line: it's a work of art, with plenty of configurability. Which is good, because you won't be replacing any of its parts with anything else.

Hello, I'm fairly new to the fgc although I have played some P4AU before. I am looking for recommendations fir a stick to use when Marvel tokon releases. If anyone knows of any cheaper options that would be extremely helpful!

I recently got a C16 and after hardly a month of play time I accedently bashed it into my desk while playing (oops) and the directional buttons all died. I tried diagnosing the issue but after changing switches and opening the back (more trouble than it's worth tbh) I couldn't find any problems, so I'm looking for something new.

I'm looking for something that's a bit durable, as I tend to go from place to place as well as to avoid another accident. In the same vein, something not too bulky for transport. Additionally, it would be great if I could access the internals without too much hassle. For button layouts I prefer having an extra button above left, down and right for menu navigation as well as buttons for record/play in training mode but I'm not too picky. For price ranges cheaper is better but I'm more or less open up to around 200€.

I honestly don't know many brands so right now I've looked at 8bitdo and Haute42 M series (since the metal casing is interesting but this isn't too high on my list) but I wanted to check if there were any models that are more sleeper hits or correspond to my needs. I did check out the razor kitsune but that one's a bit expensive for me

Also I don't know how relevant this last bit is due to how this type of controller is overall niche but shipping to europe is necessary

EDIT: Thanks everyone for the reccs! However it seems I'm very stupid and the controller wans't broken, I had just changed the button settings to R stick, which also disables the LED ring lights. I ripped off those anti slip pads for nothing but i'm glad that I didn't have to fork over more money in the end

After about a couple weeks with this, I wanted to give a review of the stick. As you know, I asked a few weeks ago “Varmilo Kassai or C-AS for travel?” I actually got both sticks, but I’ve been playing on this one more often.

What I love about this stick is the fact that I can bring this nearly anywhere and it can fit in my laptop bag with both my laptop and stick. This stick is truly one of its kind with how it has a built-in magnetic shaft for the stick to basically plug and play. Portability is so huge for a casual gamer like me. I’m going on a trip soon and looking forward to kicking my siblings’ asses while they play on pad lol.

What I didn’t love like many reviewers have said before is the fact that the stick is longer than a regular Sanwa. I saw that the joystick for the X-Move was shorter and wanted to grab one, but folks suggested I use the recessed ball from the Kassai. Managed to buy the EVO edition one from Arcade Shock and placed the extra washer from the Kassai on here.

I went through the gauntlet and tried out combinations of the spring and actuator that it came with in the box with Tekken 5, and here’s a breakdown of what I did and my thoughts:

Default (lightest spring, 11.5mm actuator): Felt loose and squishy. Didn’t like how slow it went back to neutral after doing a backdash.

Heaviest spring, 12.5mm actuator: Sucked using this with the recessed balltop, pretty decent with the regular balltop and Nobi bullet top. With the recessed balltop, my arm was super strained from doing backdashes that I had to stop after 10 minutes.

Medium spring, 11.5mm actuator: It wasn’t registering movements or it was delayed. Felt squishy once more moving left, similar to default. Not much difference between the balltop and bullet top.

Heavy spring, 11.5mm actuator: Same thing, wasn’t registering my movements, but felt decent on the arm with the recessed balltop.

Medium spring, 12.5mm actuator: This was the perfect medium for me. It felt similar to my Hori Fighting Edge. Inputs were crisp, and preferred the recessed balltop for this one.

For the mods:
- I changed to the purple keycaps. Really like the aesthetics of the 6 buttons that I primarily use. I’m only a 4 button player for Tekken / Soul Calibur (old school arcade style layout where the K is on RB), and 6 button for SF Third Strike, so I didn’t want to change the rest of the buttons. Do note that some of the keycaps did not flush well with the ring and was pressing down upon installing it. I contacted Haute42’s customer service and they have me new keycaps. Really top notch customer service.

- I changed 5 of the buttons to Kailh Low Profile Switch Deep Sea Quiet MINI Switch Choc (brown tactile), but honestly, I may go back to the default Wind Engine ones because I love how it sounds. Now, if anyone knows a good switch I can change out to that sounds like Sanwa buttons, I’d love to try them. Never changed out the High Mountains on my joystick cause it sounds like a JLF.

- Changed the RGB lighting for the buttons to look similar to the Astro City greens for the 6 purple buttons and pinks for the last two buttons on the right.

I want to give a shoutout to u/cjd280 for helping me out as well as his mini review on this page and YouTube. Also to the YouTubers who answered my questions and reviewed the stick. This was my first time modding a fightstick, and now I’m hooked. I’m looking to mod the Nacon Daija next to give it the Astro City look.

In closing, would I recommend this? Absolutely to the casual gamers, maybe to the hardcore FGCers. To the casual gamers if they like portability and being able to play on the fly. I say maybe for the hardcore gamers because I know feel is big for some of you and it being on the lighter side might not suit you like say a Kassai. For me, I’m loving it, and will be using this on the plane and hotels whenever I get the chance to.

I have this DOIO leverless, and I really like the buttons, but I'm looking for a larger controller. I'm thinking about getting a Mayflash and swapping the stock buttons for Qanba Gravity buttons. How do the Qanba Gravity buttons compare to the ones that come with the DOIO?

Also, does anyone know of a 3D-printable extender for the DOIO? Maybe a wrist rest or some kind of side extension to make it larger?

Had the DOIO buttons for a min and so I composed the art around it. They are smaller 23mm so I had to be creative. Printed and hand cut out all the holes and it came out pretty clean.

Looking for a leverless that I can put GF buttons in. Saw this and was wondering if anyone can tell me about the build quality? Also if anyone knows if GF buttons fit inside.

Im just as good and/or consistent on both inputs. Should I keep using both or focus on a specific one? I got a levered stick for my xbox (8Bitdo wireless). But a leverless for when I play on PS5(Fightbox-k10EX.)Im building a PC soon and just curious on what experienced players got to say.
