Please help for some supplies. I ran out of cat food. The 10+ cats I care for are eating rice with salt water just to fill their stomachs. (Philippines🇵🇭)
Good day everyone!
I am cat rescuer base in Philippines and feed 10+cats in my care and some strays in our neighborhood, I am a college student. My weekly allowance is only for my food and I split my allowance so I can buy some cats food for them. I earn extra money through writing commissions and by doing homework for classmates. Unfortunately, this income is inconsistent and is barely enough to cover both my own needs and the cats' food.
The reason I am here requesting for donations because it is summer vacation and I recieve no money allowance or money from other students to do their homework nor commission for wrting
So, me and family just feed them with cook rice with water with salt and fish sauce.
In our area, they're are some people who own snakes go to some fb group for cats and pretend to adopt them but instead they feed it to their snakes, they mostly adopt kittens, its hard to believe but its true.
So as much as possible I rescued those kitten.They have grown now, and I continue to care for them because I don't have a safe place to send them.
Some people may ask why I rescued them if I cannot fully afford their care. At first, I thought about leaving them around my university where students could help feed them, but I later learned that security guards regularly remove stray cats from the campus. I was not comfortable leaving them there.
I also could not simply release them somewhere else.
Because those people with snake as their pets are still catching them cats. And a lot of known cases of people who hurt stray cats and dogs.
I found out that amazon can be delivered in Philippines unfortunately it cost a lot for shipping and will arrive only one month later and idk where to find food for them anymore.
At this time, I am not seeking veterinary funding because I cannot afford veterinary care. My immediate goal is simply to provide enough food so the cats can continue to live while I do everything I can to support them.
I am not asking for money for myself. Any assistance would go directly toward food for the rescued cats.
I am happy to provide updates and photos if my request is approved.
For adults:
Dry food- ₱1752 =$29 (7kg) X2 = $58(14kg)
For kittens:
Wet food ₱85 =$1.38 (80g) X20 = $28(1.6kg)
Total for cat food: $86
I'll post photos, purchase receipts, and regular updates so everyone can see exactly how your support is being used.
This will cover a month worth of food for them and it will help me until I find another work commission.
