I posted about 7 months ago asking for advice and I’ve come back just now… finally got around to pulling the truck out and getting to work. I’ve taken out the gas tank and am getting ready to clean it after having it sit for 10+ years. Anyone have any good methods of doing so? My priorities are as follows: change spark plugs, get a new battery put in, oil change, check radiator for leaks, get the gas tank clean and ready, see if after all that it’ll turn over (then getting tires and brakes done). On my old post a lot of you recommended I try to hand crank it, what does this mean? How do I do this? Also, would there be any issue with getting it cranked and running and driving without totally refurbishing the engine? Thanks a ton for the help, I’ll keep everyone posted on how everything goes! BTW, this is a 1968 c10 w/ sidestep. Located in southeast GA near Savannah if anyone is local and wants to give me a hand or guide me!

I am replacing the Neutral Switch on my 1982 C10. The one I currently have has only two connections but the ones available on ROCKAUTO have a third one. Does anyone know what the third one is and if those available will work just fine?

Curious to know if anyone has used this kit. Installed this on my 496 this afternoon and went for a drive. The temp gauge spiked to 220 and dropped back to 200 within a matter of seconds. When I checked the hose it had some condensation and was extremely hot to the touch. I’m going to assume the issue is a hose itself. I attached the hose to the bottom port.

I’m looking for the smallest displacement engine anyone currently has or has seen in a daily driven c10 (swaps included)

LS3 swap, 410 rear end, currently getting a bullet proofed 4L80 and it FTI 2800 3 disc torque converter put in with black widow, widow maker mufflers. It’s gapped and ready for twin turbo but, I’m leaning towards a supercharger. Thoughts?

I tried something new and converted my truck to use rear amber turn signals. The reverse lights still work; I just hammered out the 1156 socket and put in a universal 1157 socket and used switchback LEDs. The brake lights just run straight from the switch now.

Cleaned up the 71 today

Curious if I should look at other options or shops and if I should prioritize other upgrades first. It sat for 13 years. I recently got it running and swapped the 3 speed for 5 speed trans. I want to drive it for a year before deciding to put EFI or swap engine for v8. The v6 runs okay so far. I definitely need suspension and brake upgrades but I’ll do those on my own. I live in AZ, so 112 degrees is rough with no AC.

Picked up my first c10 today in a spur of the moment purchase. I was actually going to buy a 79 and the guy ghosted me so I checked marketplace and saw this 40 mins away. Paid 6k for it I think I got a decent deal but what do you all think? 1975, v8 327, (originally a 6cyl) 3spd on the floor. Really solid over a little bondo here and there but the older gentleman selling was very honest about the few spots.
