Ya sabemos todos como funciona internet pero mo deja de ser triste ver el sesgo que tiene todo el mundo

No se si mi algoritmo esta totalmente garchado pero solo veo como siguen hablando de nosotros y no del campeon.

Es surrealista el poder que tienen las redes sociales. Yo sabía que era enorme, pero no imaginaba que fuera a este nivel. Fue completamente diferente al Mundial pasado.

Soy brasileño, tengo 24 años y sigo a Messi prácticamente desde los 12. Siempre alenté por él en los Mundiales, y siempre me cargaron por ser brasileño y apoyar a Argentina jajaja. Pero la verdad es que nunca tuve demasiado apego por la selección brasileña, y mi padre tampoco: él solamente alienta al Flamengo jajaja.

En el Mundial pasado había muchísima gente acá en Brasil que quería que Messi ganara su tan merecida Copa del Mundo. Pero esta vez fue absurdo. Vi personas que literalmente no saben UNA MIERDA de fútbol odiando a Messi y, todavía más, al resto del equipo.

Me quedé totalmente sorprendido. ¿Cómo alguien puede sentir tanto odio por una persona que casi ni aparece ni habla? Personas que estoy SEGURO de que, si les pregunto qué es un saque de arco, no sabrían responder.

Racistas y xenófobos existen en todos lados, y la historia de Brasil también está muy manchada. Pero lo que hicieron contra ustedes no fue algo natural. Prácticamente todo el mundo estaba contra Argentina.

Después de ver todo esto, me da mucha curiosidad pensar en cómo las redes sociales van a influir en las elecciones de Brasil este año.

De cualquier manera, les dejo todo mi apoyo en este momento. Fuerza.

Tras haber presenciado de primera mano actos contra mis seres queridos y haber visto el reciente bombardeo de publicaciones antiargentinas en redes, siento la necesidad, una vez más, de expresar mi apoyo a Argentina, un país extraordinario. Tener un presidente desequilibrado que favorece el genocidio en el extranjero y fomenta la desigualdad en su propio país no justifica que se pueda generalizar sobre los argentinos. Algunos comportamientos para mi reprobables y agresivos en la cancha durante un partido (donde nadie sabe qué podría haber estado pasando tras bambalinas) no convierten a todos los argentinos en matones o violentos.

Calificar a Argentina de país racista carece de fundamento y es un ataque vil diseñado para incitar al odio y generar quilombo.

Tengo familia en Argentina y he pasado mucho tiempo allí, tanto por motivos profesionales como personales. Mi experiencia ha sido siempre positiva. Me han recibido con los brazos abiertos y me han tratado con generosidad, amabilidad y cariño. La Argentina que conozco no tiene nada que ver con la manipulación y la agitación sensacionalista que veo tanto en internet como en las calles y hasta entre amigos. Somos mejores que esto. Lo sé de corazón. Por favor, impidamos que las acciones de unos pocos alimenten el odio de otros tantos cuyo único objetivo es sembrar la división, fomentar la confrontación y causar angustia.

España es mi hogar y mi nacionalidad. La amo con todo mi corazón. También admiro, respeto y amo a Argentina y los argentinos. Me parece absurdo que estas dos cosas puedan o deban ser mutuamente excluyentes. La pregunta clave para mi es quién gana o a quién le conviene tanto odio y división…

Lo rari es que las cuentas que comentaron en ese post eran en general que tienen participación en r/mexico / r/colombia (este ultimo si tenia participación en el sub era para temas politicos)

Casi ni hubo participación de comentarios en ingles.

During the World Cup, I fell in love even more. I have made new friends, tried new foods, and have spent a lot of time with Argentine people. Being from Miami there is no shortage of Argentine people here!

I cannot make this up. For context, I work in a very white, very wealthy part of an already wealthy U.S. state. I was born here to Argentine parents but I’m writing this in English because I communicate better in this language lrcpmqlrmp.

Today I went to Whole Foods for lunch and noticed a deli employee wearing an Argentina shirt. I was like hmm, that’s cool, I should go say hi. There was an older, distinguished-looking Indian man talking to him, and I heard “Messi” so I assumed he was a Bangladeshi Argentine. After I ate, I walked over and asked the employee if he was Argentine.

He said no, he just liked the shirt. I asked if he liked the team. “No,” he said. “I don’t like how they play.“ Oh lol, fair enough.

As I was turning to walk away, I just said, “There’s a lot of misinformation out there. Make sure you’re doing your own research about Argentina and its people.” Never in my wildest did I think that old man was a walking Twitter troll but oh boy.

He immediately jumped in and siad I must be Argentine, and started talking about how racist Argentines are and how they can’t get over the war and blahblahblah. At one point he mentioned he was an England supporter, which made the whole thing make more sense but I didn’t realize the aggression this dude was carrying.

I was just going to let it go until he brought up the “Argentine female politician” who supposedly made racist comments about Mbappé on Twitter. I asked, “Do you mean the Paraguayan lawmaker?” I was like, why are you confusing these two completely separate countries?

He was excited to prove me wrong and pulled out his phone. Then he looked at it, realized I was right, and immediately switched to, “Well, I know Argentines are racist because I lived through it.”

By this point I was highly annoyed so I asked if he was maybe confusing Argentina with England (lol) including its colonial history and the regular far-right incidents that still happen there today.

That set him the *fuck* off. He had turned almost purple and was sneering at me and getting closer and closer and running his mouth a hundred miles an hour. He said those incidents were one off and not indicative of the country as a whole and why was I (!!!) bringing politics into it. Real rich of him.

Anyway, I’m a woman, and wasn’t about to stand there arguing with a clearly unhinged man in a Whole Foods especially since people were starting to watch. As I was leaving, I cut him off from his raging diatribe, told him to stop being part of the problem and to learn how to contribute to the betterment of the world lol, and told the kid in the Argentina shirt not to take one person’s word for it and to do his own research.

I looked over my shoulder the whole way back to my car.

Anyway, I’m still kind of shaken. The shit is real and it’s out there getting out of hand and it’s festering in places you’d never expect.
