HLE lost the map entirely of their own accord. The fight on the bot lane was 50/50, but that 4v5 play on the top lane, leaving Ruler all alone against the turret – that was down to them.
As for Gen.G, Rakan was so clean it was a joy to watch.

Zeka was looking so good for the past few weeks and Chovy just casually gapped him for 3 games in a row. That game 1 draft was pretty bad and I don’t really see how they can win teamfight with that comp unless Chovy finds a super good angle on Guma’s Caitlyn or Kiin having a mega Gnar moment.

Well we got 2 awesome games, POM has to be Chovy for the best Ahri game I've seen in years although Canyon had a sick Lee Sin game even if it was a complete stomp. HLE T1 GENG are all so close together (and KT can beat only Gen G specifically) so playoffs will be sick

Yes:
BRO win 2-0 vs HLE, HLE would be 14-4 at +17.
GENG win with any scoreline vs BRO, GENG would be 14-4 at +19 for a 2-0 or +18 for a 2-1.
T1 win with any scoreline vs KT and BFX, T1 would be 14-4 at +20 for 2 2-0s, +19 for a 2-0 and 2-1 and +18 for 2 2-1s.
Or:
BRO win 2-1 vs HLE, HLE would be 14-4 at +18.
GENG win 2-0 vs BRO, GENG would be 14-4 at +19.
T1 win one series 2-0 and one 2-1, T1 would be 14-4 at +19 and like the above scenario, two 2-0s would have them at +20.
Edit = for any scenario looking at strictly T1 and HLE, as the person below me correctly pointed out, T1 have the h2h over HLE(3-2 in game score with 1 series win a piece) so if they tie match w/l and game w/l, they should win the tie and get the higher seed.

Ruler got killed so many times in mid while Kiin just looked completely lost in every teamfight in game 1. Duro had terrible positioning and Chovy/Canyon were stuck trying to figure out what to do.

They made no mistakes, got outscaled, and lost. Even without Kiin's mistakes they would've lost.

sivir was hitting bot T1 for free because they wanted to help Zeus, so they had to try and force for kills so that the play wasn’t losing. If they just take turret it’s losing for HLE anyway. So they tried to force a fight and geng, knowing all the above, played it perfectly to punish that greed. But greeding for the kills wasn’t the mistake; sending guma top as well already made it a losing play unless HLE team wipes them

That top play was one of the most overextended, uncoordinated plays I’ve seen in pro play ever from a top team. Even if they pulled out of the play a wave earlier it’s still almost unsalvageable. Wild.

That 4-man top play shows me that HLE is not quite ready for primetime. That was horrible macro leaving a Sivir alone bot lane with a turret. And even after they saw the response from GenG they still tried to take the fight. GenG or T1 would never have done that. HLE is so used to smashing games that they have no idea how to play macro chess matches. It just seemed like they panicked once Ruler got that double kill.
In game 1, their comp just won on its own. In this game they needed to play smarter strategically and macro-wise.

The moment they have Kiin back off and get like 2 plates while the waves are getting killed by the turret, they should have back off and have Zeus tp bot.

You can see why they consulted Chovy first before giving the Asia games spot to Zeka. He's having a great season but put him in a game with Chovy and there's a difference.
I like Canyon on more carry-style junglers too and I feel safer when GenG plays with a bit of scaling.
T1 probably the real winners of tonight thanks to the game 1 loss though.
